The project represents the second phase of DOISP whicht is focused on core elements of the portfolio approach to dam safety, specifically: i) institutional, regulatory, human, and financial capacity for dam safety to ensure implementation and improve compliance; ii) physical rehabilitation to ensure structural integrity and enhance safety; iii) operational measures to ensure dam safety.
Dam Operational Improvement and Safety Project Phase 2 (DOISP 2) is a continuation of DOISP project that is started in 2009 and ended in 2017 in which under this project the supports to the completion of remedial and rehabilitation works on several dams, operational and safety improvement of 34 dams owned by The Ministry of Public Works and Housing, and preparation of various guidelines that is related to dam management operation are done.
However, there are 192 existing dams that is owned by the Government of Indonesia and another 65 new dams that are currently under construction.
In this project, PT, TETIRA take role on Technical Assistance Services for Supporting the Central Project Management Unit (CPMU) during period 2018 – 2023. Thia project fundes by IBRD and AIIB.
