Integrated Participatory Develop-ment and Management of Irrigation Program (IPDMIP), is a poverty reduction program through irrigation agriculture management improvement in 74 districts of 16 provinces.
The following factors would be addressed in this project: (i) institutions and farmer associations are weak; (ii) maintenance of irrigation systems is poor; (iii) lack of agriculture extension activities; (iv) lack of maintenance of irrigation equipment;(v) access for farmers to source of fund are limited; (vi) land ownership of farmers unclear; and (vii) there are gaps of technology for farmers.
The IPDMIP program is implemented through: (i) strengthening regional government institutions in implementing PPSIP principles; (ii) strengthening the capacity of community institutions to improve performance in irrigation agriculture planning and management; and (iii) sustainability of participatory irrigation at the local government and community levels through internalization of the PPSIP principles into the RPJMD.
This project is funded by ADB and IFAD, while PT. TETIRA in this activity take roles on Institutional Strengthening for Agricultural Irrigation (ISAI) with duration 2018 – 2022.
